Inspired by a winter’s trip through the northern portion of Haliburton County, this painting evokes the pristine beauty of Ontario’s ’Cottage Country’. It currently resides above my fireplace in my home on Mountain Lake.

I’ve always been attracted to the contrasts created when dark flowing waters make their way through snowy landscapes. Although this was created in-studio, viewing it can still transport me to a place of stillness and serenity.

Isn’t it everyone’s dream to be able to stay in a place surrounded by nature in all it’s beauty. It certainly is one of my overriding wishes and this scene was created from my imagination in response to that dream.
